Dr. jur. Christoph Fritz

Dr. Christoph Fritz has many years of invaluable and practical experience in German civil service.  After obtaining his doctorate at Bielefeld Law School in the field of local government law, he began his administrative career as a central government officer. Dr. Fritz was then appointed local government chief officer responsible for law, order, schools, culture, and social affairs, a position that he held for many years.

Dr. Fritz´s civil service experience is invaluable in allowing him to effectively and efficiently work within the civil service structure to manage issues on behalf of his clients.    

Within the law firm HEUSER & COLLEGEN, Dr. Fritz focuses on solving immigration, social security and tax problems for foreign employment and work assignments.

Dr. Fritz is also a noted and well-respected author of many legal publications on labor, tax and employment matters including "Auslandsentsendung und Beschätigung ausländischer Mitarbeiter" (Foreign Assignments and Employment of Foreign Workers).

Suzanne Müller

Suzanne Müller is a US trained and licensed (Ohio) attorney-at-law practicing in international commercial and corporate law.  Ms. Müller is a 1998 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Rutgers University with B.A.in English, and she earned her Juris Doctor in 2001 from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, a top-tier school. 

During law school Ms. Müller interned in the M&A Department of GE Aviation.  On graduation, Ms. Müller began practicing for a nationally recognized complex commercial litigation firm in Dayton, Ohio.

After almost three years of private practice, Ms. Müller accepted the position of Assistant General Counsel of ABX Air, Inc. (f/k/a Airborne Express) where she focused her practice on international law, aviation, transportation, logistics, foreign trade zones, intellectual property, corporate insurance, risk management, regulatory compliance, and commercial and corporate transactions.   Ms. Müller then accepted the position as Assistant General Counsel of ABX Air, Inc.'s parent company, which owns, among other things, three separate cargo airlines, a maintenance and repair operation (MRO), and a facilities maintenance company. 

During her tenure with ABX and its parent company, Ms. Müller assisted in successfully negotiating and closing high dollar transactions worldwide.  She has led negotiation and transactional teams for projects in China, Japan, Israel, Africa, Brazil, Germany, Venezuela, and Canada, among other countries. 

As a result of her experience, Ms. Müller provides her clients with  an advantage in negotiating and conducting business with entities worldwide by offering clients valuable insight into the cultural and business differences that can make or break a deal. 

In addition to Ms. Müller's vast experience representing international corporate and commercial clients, she designed and taught Constitutional Law and Intellectual Property courses as an adjunct professor at Wilmington College for several years. 

In 2011, Ms. Müller relocated to Germany with her husband, a native German, and son, and began her practice at HEUSER & COLLEGEN as Managing Partner of the Commercial and Corporate Law and Litigation Departments.

Ms. Müller's areas of expertise are US law and US corporate formation, worldwide negotiations, international commercial and corporate law, intellectual property, aviation, transportation, logistics, and litigation.  

Kent Lorenz

Kent Lorenz has in-depth experience with the subject of international assignments from various perspectives. In addition to his experience from the HR department of a multinational enterprise he brings the expertise from his work in the tax department of an internationally-active audit and tax consulting firm.

He has legal expertise in the areas of employment contract law, social security law, tax law, international assignments, visas and immigration law. Mr. Lorenz is also in charge of the Duisburg Visa-Competence-Center.

Bianca Araujo

Bianca Araujo handles commercial and employment law matters. She also has in-depth experience in the fields of Social Security and Welfare Law. In addition, Ms. Araujo has led numerous training seminars regarding risk and liability in volunteer work for an institute for adult education. Ms. Araujo represents our clients effectively and efficiently.  Born in England and raised bilingually in Germany, her native-knowledge of English enables her to assist clients in both German and English.

Aleksandra Pieczynska (Mag. jur. (PL), LL. M. Köln)

Aleksandra Pieczynska, a native of Poland, focuses her practice on Polish legal affairs. She uses her Polish and German legal and language skills and her experiences with Polish and German authorities and companies to develop the most efficient and effective approaches for the firm´s clients.

In 1995, Mrs. Pieczynska passed her exam at the "Adam Mickiewicz University" in Poznan, Poland. After her legal studies she worked for a legal counsel and a law firm in Poland. Her professional focus was business law, labor and employment law and general civil law. Mrs. Pieczynska moved to Germany in 1998 to continue her education and was awarded a Master of Laws from the University of Cologne in 2004.
